The 1964 Battlin’ Buccaneer Band of the Buccaneers brought
honor to Roy Miller’s Student Body by entering and excelling in their
performances. They left the Region VII Interscholastic League Marching Contest
with First Division ratings in marching and inspection. The Buc Band played for
the State Principals Convention at the Driscoll Hotel. Miller High’s Band was
also one the seven bands in the state invited to the “Battle of the Flowers”,
the yearly pageant in San Antonio. Just several things that will always be with
the Roy Miller Alumni.
