OFFICIAL CHARTER & GOVERNANCE

The Roy Miller High School Fabulous 60’s Hall of Fame was established to preserve, honor, and document the achievements, service, and historical contributions of students, faculty, teams, and organizations from the 1960–1969 era.

The Hall of Fame serves as a living historical archive dedicated to recognizing the legacy of the Fabulous 60’s.

⚓ PURPOSE

To honor both living and deceased classmates and affiliates whose lives, character, service, and accomplishments reflect positively on Roy Miller High School and the Fab 60’s generation.

🟣 CLASSIFICATIONS OF INDUCTION

Inductions occur under two distinct classifications:

INDIVIDUAL INDUCTIONS

Individuals are selected and approved by the Fab 60’s Hall of Fame Selection Committee based upon merit, distinction, service, and lasting contribution.

HISTORICAL UNIT INDUCTIONS

Teams, performance groups, academic bodies, faculty, and organizations may be inducted as complete historical entities to preserve their collective contribution.

Historical Unit Inductions are archival in nature and are not comparative or competitive selections.

Nominations may be submitted at any time by:

Self-nominations are permitted.

All nominees remain eligible for future consideration.

🔵 SELECTION PROCESS

A ballot of nominees is presented to the Fab 60’s Hall of Fame Selection Committee

The Committee is composed of members representing multiple class years

Each member casts votes based on merit and qualifications

A minimum vote threshold is required for induction

Final selections are determined by the Committee

Inductions are conducted periodically to preserve the honor and distinction of selection

🏈 TEAM & HISTORICAL RECOGNITION

In addition to individual inductees, the Hall of Fame may recognize:

Notable teams

Previously unrecognized athletic or activity groups

Faculty or organizational contributions

These recognitions are made to ensure the complete preservation of the Fab 60’s legacy.

Fair and respectful consideration of all nominees

Integrity in the selection process

Inclusion of diverse contributions

Preservation of history with dignity and accuracy

🔵 CODICIL — GOVERNANCE UPDATE (MARCH 2026)

Effective March 2026, the Fab 60’s Hall of Fame Selection Committee has been redesignated as the Advisory Committee.

The Advisory Committee provides input, perspective, and historical insight; however, final selections and inductions are determined by the Hall of Fame Curator.

All references to the Selection Committee within this Governance Statement shall be understood to mean the Advisory Committee in its current role.

This change reflects an evolution in structure while preserving the integrity and intent of the original selection process.

⚓ CONTINUING PURPOSE

The Fab 60’s Hall of Fame will continue to grow, evolve, and be refined as part of an ongoing effort to preserve the history and spirit of Roy Miller High School’s Fabulous 60’s.
