VICTOR CLARK MARTINEZ CLASS OF 1965 HALL OF FAME MEMBER 11-26-25

HALL OF FAME MEMBER

VICTOR CLARK MARTINEZ

Accomplishments at Roy Miller: Roy Miller Buc Band 1964 to 1966

US Army- Gold Sax Award; Joined US Army in 1966 and received orders to South Vietnam from 1967 to 1968. Victor Clark Martinez spent his one-year obligatory tour, including An Khe Army Airfield (1967-68), Pham Thiet, and Dak To as a member of the 1st Calvary Division. He survived his tour and came back to the "World". But like the rest of us had to keep quiet of where he had been. Most Vets like Victor would say, "The Lord knows what we've done." Victor enjoyed success with "Los Dinos" Group and Rondells 74'-75'; those were the days for us young kids. In later life he became a great addition to the Veterans Band of Corpus Christi, and has had quite a ride with the band members and friendship with Ramiro "Ram" Chavez, one of the Band Founders. He was inducted into the Tejano Roots Hall of Fame Museum in 2016 (see trophy below).
