Frank wrote: As I reach the end of my life on Earth among other things, I reflect that my grandchildren have brought me such amazing happiness. I was born in Corpus Christi, Texas to Edna
Priour and Eugene Thomas (ET) Beynon, Sr. I am now with my parents and my brother, Tom
Beynon, again; In fact, we will be together for all eternity. I have had a life blessed beyond belief I was
16 years old when my father died, but my mother did a wonderful job, if a hard
one, of raising us - my two sisters - Bonnie and Susie, and brother - Tom.
My sisters and brother blessed me with
precious nieces and nephews.
There were
also many aunts, uncles, and cousins that were a part of my growing up years. I was blessed with a wonderful extended family, although there are
fewer of us on earth as the Lord takes us home.
Another undeserved blessing was my wife, Carolyn Scogin Beynon - She has been everything to me. We married on December 26, 1965. Of course, our two most precious gifts are our
daughters, Annette and Andrea. Our eldest daughter Annette Beynon Graves
and her husband Trey, gave us Caroline Elizabeth our first granddaughter. Our youngest daughter, Andrea Beynon
McWilliams and her husband, Dean have given us three wonderful grandchildren,
Madison Grace, Maxwell Dean, and Marcus Ross.
Some of the great joys in my adult life were the
relationships that I formed throughout my career. I especially treasure the many friends I made
in my four decades in the restaurant business and state government. Many of you I met at Wyatt's, the Burger Bank,
the TEC and TRS Cafeterias, the General Services Commission, the State
Preservation Board, and the Capitol Rotary Club. A message on his wall: Thank you for making my life richer with your
friendship. I was blessed to have my
wonderful church family at Hyde Park Baptist Church.
