Mike Pusley is a lifelong
resident of Corpus Christi, Texas. He is a proud graduate of the 1969 Class of
Roy Miller High School. In July of 2026 he and his wife Norma Pusley will
celebrate their 53rd wedding anniversary. They have two daughters,
Candace and Courtney, in addition to five wonderful grandchildren.
Mike’s education includes a
Bachelor of Science in Geology form Texas A & M University Corpus Christi with
a Bachelor of Arts minor; other education includes - Geological Field Studies
at Texas Tech University; Associate of Arts Degree from Del Mar College in
Corpus Christi; and a 1969 graduate of Roy Miller High School.
Mike was employed with EOG
Resources for 35 years until his retirement in 2013. Previous to EOG he was
employed with Exxon Company USA from 1975 thru 1978, and Richard S. Colley,
Architect from 1973 through 1975.
Mike has been elected and appointed
to various important Nueces County and the City of Corpus Christi governmental
positions including Nueces County Commissioners Court in 2024; at-Large City
Council person from 2020 – 2024; Nueces County Commissioner, 2009-2018; Corpus
Christi Planning Commission 2001-2007; and Corpus Christi Storm Water Advisory
Committee, 1997-2001. IN 1986 Mike was elected to the Board of Trustees, of the
Tuloso-Midway ISD, and served until 1994. Mike currently is a Board Member of
the Texas State Aquarium.

included, being an alumnus of the Corpus Christi Citizens Police Academy; Member,
Sheriff & #39s Association of Texas; Member, American Association of
Petroleum Geologists; Member, Corpus Christi Geological Society; Member,
Coastal Bend Geophysical Society.
