Accomplishments

John Schuetze was born in Corpus Christi and attended Oak
Park Elementary and Driscoll Junior High Schools. He graduated from Roy Miller
High in 1962 and later graduated from Indiana University (IU) in Indianapolis.
During his retail career he opened the first major chain retail store on a Navajo
Indian Reservation in Window Rock, Arizona.
After almost 62 years of marriage John’s wife, Diana of
almost 62 years passed away in 2023. John and wife had 4 children, one deceased,
and twelve grandchildren, one is deceased and 11 great grandchildren.
John proudly served 2 years as elected political party
precinct chair of Bandera County and Bandera County Executive Committee. He was
also elected to his HOA Board of Directors for 3 terms and served as their Treasurer.
John volunteers at two local Museums and has also been a driver for Meals on
Wheels program where he lives.
