LINDA FARQUHAR BUSHOVER

Graduated from ROY MILLER HIGH SCHOOL IN 1967

Education:
Graduated from The University of Texas 1971 with a BA in English Literature; Graduated from The University of Texas 1973 with Masters in Government

Linda worked for the Comptroller of Public Accounts in Government Relations until 1989. Followed by employment with Bob Bullock Lieutenant Governor 1990 to 1993.  During this time, Linda got married in 1974 and has three wonderful sons. Being a working mother in a high stress job was very hard.  My husband, Ron, had after-school duty; My sons, Kristopher, Stephen and Brian played sports; Ron was always there for them and is Linda’s love of her life. They have been happily married 52 years.

Linda Starts her own company: In 1994 with an SBA Loan and her own saving she started her own company. It proved to be the right move, and in no time had her office space with around 150 employees. The company served as Technical Support for companies such as HP, American Airlines, and Sears. Her company handled support for their computers and printers. Working 24/7 to support our clients. She sold the company in 1998.

Linda has traveled extensively for all her work, including 37 States and Washington, DC and 5 Countries. Although "retired", she could not stand not working! She became a Consultant for Sears Home Services. It was a 6-month contract to correct problems with their IBM operating systems known as CICS. She remained there until 2004, when she and her husband both retired.

Her son's followed in their mother's footsteps, also graduating from The University of Texas. Her youngest son served as a Captain in the 82nd Airborne, which included 15 months in Iraq. He was injured, after jumping from a helicopter. We spent two weeks in Germany while he recovered. Linda and her husband, Ron live in Georgetown, TX.
