I remember John Sims very well. Sophomore and Jr. years our P.E. coaches would team those who would run track closes time. John could not out run me and vice versa. At the end of our Jr. yr. John told me he was going to enlist in the Army. I practically begged him to wait at least till after graduation (just one more year) I didn't see him till beginning of my Sr. yr. He was wearing his Army uniform and said he was going to Vietnam. That was the last time we talked. May he R.I.P.
