TORTILLAS - Vato, I think of you often.  It is almost Christmas and I think of all you guys that gave all.  I remember sitting on top of a bunker and talking about las babies back home, and would always remember las Hefitas (mothers) and the smell of las tortillas just made.  I miss you Carmal (brother).  VIVA - Manuel you were a good soldier and proud Chicano.  I am proud to have served in combat with you.  Peace my brother and Welcome Home - Peace, Tommy Acosta - Grunt

11th Infantry Brigade, Americal Division - Manuel was assigned to A Co,(3rd Platoon) Ist Bn, 20th Infantry Battalion and was KIA by a sniper during an operation on Iron Mountain.

Not forgotten - Little Brother, we have not forgotten how you were and the funny things you did and spoke about.  You will always be in our hearts.
